Why McLaren?
Some of you thinking why I'm using McLaren as my pen name. Here's why.
Personally, I don't know exactly what comes to my mind why I make McLaren as my pen name.
Okay, 1st things 1st.
McLaren is more than just a manufacturer who made fast cars. For me, they are the spirit of motorsport. They were born for racing. They are the new breed of future motorsport.
2nd.
Most of their cars are designed for racing, with some F1 touches in their cars. For some, their look were not aesthetic as Lamborghini, Bugatti, Porsche, Ferrari, etc.
3rd.
McLaren is the one that successfully brings another color to F1 & the nemesis to Ferrari. Another fact is, McLaren is one of the successful British team in F1 with 8 constructors titles & 12 drivers titles.
Tbvh, there's a lot of things I want to tell you about McLaren. Especially I admired McLaren as a symbol of racing spirit.

McLaren made it's 1st debut in F1 in 1966. The team was found by a New Zealander, Bruce McLaren, back in 1963. He was known as a youngest ever F1 GP winner at that time by the age of 22.
The 1st McLaren success in F1 was in 1974. McLaren won both constructors & drivers titles, with Emerson Fittipaldi behind the legendary McLaren M23.
FYI, Fittipaldi was the youngest world champion on that time by the age of 25, 9 months, 26 days.

1976
James Hunt secured the world drivers championship after a fierce rivalry with Niki Lauda. Hunt is the 1st McLaren British champion. FYI, you can watch "Rush" movie to get to know their rivalry.

1984
Niki Lauda won his 1st title since his sabbatical in 1979. In total, he won 3 titles (1975, 1977 & 1984). He become the 1st driver to win titles in both Ferrari & McLaren.

1985
French driver, Alain Prost, won his 1st F1 title & secure the constructors title like in 1984 season.

1986, Alain Prost secure his 2nd title.
1988
McLaren become the dominant force in that season, thanks to the brilliant Honda engine on that time. They recruited Ayrton Senna to partner Alain Prost. The cars that they used on that time, McLaren-Honda MP4-4 was considered as the most dominant F1 car of all time, winning 15/16 races in a season. The only race that they lost was the Italian GP.
That season was also remembered as Senna's best moment as he fulfilled his childhood dream, to become F1 world champion.

McLaren become the dominant force in that season, thanks to the brilliant Honda engine on that time. They recruited Ayrton Senna to partner Alain Prost. The climax happened at Japanese GP, where both driver collided at Casio Chicane, Suzuka Circuit, Japan, at lap 46. Senna recovered & win, but was later disqualified. In the end, Alain Prost won the drivers title for the 3rd time.

1990, Ayrton Senna become world champion after controversially colliding with Alain Prost at the same circuit, Suzuka, at the 1st corner on the 1st lap.
1991, Considered as Senna's strongest year in F1. Secured his 3rd title at Suzuka (again). He won 7 races & all of them are from pole positions.
1998
McLaren's new success story with Mercedes as the engine supplier & Adrian Newey, the designer of the superior McLaren-Mercedes MP4-13, give them the drivers title & constructors title in the 1998 season. Finnish driver, Mika Hakkinen (The Flying Finn) was the actor of his rivalry with my idol, Michael Schumacher. The rivalry end up with Hakkinen as a world champion. FYI, 1998 was the last time McLaren won the constructors title.

2008
British rookie, Lewis Hamilton won his 1st title in only his 2nd season in F1. FYI, he made his debut in 2007 & end up in 2nd position, lose by just 1 point to eventual world champion, Kimi Raikkonen. Hamilton also made history as a 1st black driver to race & win in F1. (not meaning to be racist)
Constructors title:
8 (1974, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1998)
Drivers title:
12 (1974, 1976, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1998, 1999, 2008)
McLaren road cars.
Tbvh, this is something that I really like the most from McLaren. The look probably didn't appealing like it's rival, but the performances are able to make it's rival afraid. McLaren just want to show us that their road cars can't be underestimated, especially, McLaren has a strong F1 heritage.

Oh yeah, 1 of their road cars also made history. It is, become the world's fastest car on that time, her name is.......

The top speed of this car can reach 375 Km/h.😨
If you want to know where's the headquarters, it's located at Woking, UK. The place is called McLaren Technology Centre. Tbh, it's a place like no other. Just like it's innovative heritage in automotive world. I wish I can visit that place one day☺️✌️👍.
I think that's all I can tell you about McLaren. For me, McLaren is something special to me, some of them are not describable by words.
