About Schumi

Why him?

Schumi at 1998 Italian GP

To be honest, he's the man who makes me know about F1 (Formula 1), world's most prestigious motorsport. And end up being fell in love with it, although recent F1 is not interesting as his era for some.

Schumi at 1991 Belgian GP

Schumi starts his F1 debut at 1991 Belgian GP (Grand Prix) with Jordan Team, before moving to Benetton for the rest 5 races.

1992 was noted as the year when he took his 1st F1 victory at the same GP where he made his debut, the Belgian GP. He finished amazingly 3rd in the driver standings above Ayrton Senna, only in his 2nd year in F1.

1993, he finished 4th in the driver standings below Ayrton Senna, scoring 1 win at Portuguese GP beating the world champion on that year, Alain Prost. He scored 9 podium finishes.

Damon & Michael controversially collided at Adelaide in 1994 Australian GP

1994, the year when he suprisingly became an F1 World Champion, the 1st German to clinch the title. Amazing yet controversial. Why?
Schumi won 6 of first 7 races, making this achievement resulting a suspicious for some, because his Benetton using the traction control (kontrol traksi) that able to eliminate wheelspin & the system was banned by the FIA (Federation Internationale de' Automobile). His 1st rival on his career was the brit, Damon Hill, driving for Williams.
The title was decided at Adelaide, Australia, where Schumi leads by 1 point. The controversy happened when Schumi collided with Hill when he try to overtake him & caused him to retired. All seems lost to Schumi. Until.....
Damon retires with the suspension damage thanks to his collision with Michael, giving Michael his 1st ever title by just a point.😨😱

Schumi with his Benetton

1995, Benetton's best year. Why? It was the only season where they secure the double title (both Constructors & Drivers). The constructors was the 1st & only title, because in a previous year, they lost to Williams. The driver was the 2nd title & for Schumi as well.✌️😏

Schumi won the 1996 Spanish GP in wet track😨

1996, Schumi moves to Ferrari. Probably bizarre for some, because Ferrari was struggle on that time, but Schumi manage to win 3 races, including the rainy Spanish GP. He finished P3 on that season.

For me, his move to Villeneuve is an unfortunateπŸ˜‘

1997, The year when Schumi score a controversy, which is, the first and only driver that have been disqualified from world drivers championship.
It's because he collided with the eventual champion, Jacques Villeneuve in the final round at Jerez, Spain.

1998, Schumi finished 2nd below his rival, Mika Hakkinen, driving for Mclaren, also known as "The Flying Finn".
This season was marked by the last victory in the pit lane on the race by Michael at Silverstone.✌️😱. For me, that was just to unbelievable.

1999, Schumi suffer an heavy injury in his legs at Silverstone, UK, which makes him to surrender to compete for the title.

He won the 3rd title at Japanese GP

2000, A dream come true for Schumi & Ferrari, as Ferrari finally wins both drivers & constructors title. It's his 3rd title of his career and the 1st one for Ferrari.

2001, Schumi wins his 4th title, equalling Alain Prost.

Michael with the mighty Ferrari F2002 & win his 5th title at 2002 French GP with 6 races to go

2002, A record year for Schumi as he secured the 5th title at Magny-Cours, France with 6 races to go, equalling Juan Manuel Fangio. He recorded himself as the 1st driver to finish in top 3 at all races in a season. What a achievement πŸ˜¨πŸ˜±πŸ‘.
But......
He had controversy at Austrian GP, because he achieve the victory by an team order that tell his teammate, Rubens Barrichello to slow his car, while he was leading the race, so Michael can win that race.πŸ˜’πŸ‘Ž (for me, it's an unfortunate act)
Anyway, it's still noted as the superb year for Ferrari.

Ferrari F2003-GA

2003, He became the 1st driver in history to win 6th F1 title.

The Ferrari F2004

2004, Another record year for him, as he sets the most win in a season by 13 wins, beating his own at 2002, which is 11 wins. He secured the 7th title at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. He finished 2nd behind Kimi "Iceman" Raikkonen, but Schumi's overall point is enough to seal it.πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ˜±.

2005, He only scored 1 win at US GP, when the Michelin runners decided to withdraw due to safety concerns. It was his worst year for the team, as he only finished 3rd with only 62 points, far behind Kimi Raikkonen, and the Spanish 1st world champion, Fernando Alonso, driving for Renault.😒

At Brazil 2006

2006, The year where he challenge Alonso for the title & his last year for Ferrari as he went to a retirement afterward, where eventually, Alonso win his 2nd title in a row. But, in this year, Michael secure his last win at Chinese GP, and total of 91 wins of his career & the driver to score the most pole position in qualifying by 68 poles (before Lewis Hamilton make it to 72 poles). He finished in a well-deserved 2nd place.😒😊✌️.

Schumi with Rosberg (left) & Ross Brawn (middle)

2010, He make a comeback with Mercedes & drive alongside my 2016 favorite, Nico Rosberg.

2011, He remains in F1 with Mercedes.

2012, He scored his 1st podium since his comeback in F1 at Valencia, Spain (European GP). He race at Brazilian GP for the last time before retired from F1 for good.

Schumi at Valencia, with Fernando Alonso left to him

No matter how much you love or hate him, admit it.... You will miss him when he gone for good.

Well deserved P3 for him at Valencia

Thank you for your contribution & legacy to the motorsport, Michael. We will miss you😍😘.
